He received his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 2000. Prior to his time at UWM, he was educated at Sofia University in Bulgaria, receiving his MS and BS in 1993 and 1992, respectively. Prior to his work at Rowan, he was an assistant professor at the University of Tennessee and did Postdoctoral work at ORNL and the University of Minnesota.
